The release yesterday of the latest undercover Planned Parenthood video exposé from the Center for Medical Progress is a horrifying illustration of evil on parade in modern America. To see and hear the former president of the organization’s Medical Directors’ Council negotiate over the price of baby body parts in the hope of raising enough money to buy herself a Lamborghini leaves one mortified and speechless.
The greatness of a nation is measured by many things, but especially by how it treats the vulnerable and defenseless. That our most innocent are now being dismembered and then bought and sold over a meal in a restaurant booth is a tragedy beyond qualification.
How many more cold, callous and wicked videos will it take before a consensus emerges on both sides of the aisle demanding Congress defund Planned Parenthood?
The seventeenth century Christian philosopher Blaise Pascal once observed that “Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it conscientiously.” Such sentiment sums up the vileness of the abortion industry in general and Planned Parenthood in particular.
I would like to challenge those who support abortion rights to denounce the heinousness of this latest video. It cannot be defended. Furthermore, I don’t believe these videos represent isolated incidents but rather reflect a pattern of lies and half-truths concerning the true nature of the abortion industry.
“I tremble for my country,” wrote Thomas Jefferson, “when I reflect that God is just and that his justice cannot sleep forever.”
I hope and pray the day of abortion’s final victim is coming. May it come sooner than we could ever dream possible.
