Abortion rights advocates regularly use soft words to describe the dark deeds associated with the murder of pre-born children.
We’ll hear them talk about women’s “reproductive health” or their support of a “pro-choice” agenda.
In reality, they’re supporting the unfettered killing of innocent children in the womb, precious infants who will never see a sunrise or the earth’s blue sky.
Yet, lawmakers who continue advocating for the protection and expansion of abortion are finding it harder and harder to hide from their untenable and indefensible positions.
Case in point: last week in the United States Senate, liberals voted against two pieces of legislation designed to protect innocent life.
The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which was sponsored by Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), called for outlawing abortion at the point babies can feel pain, which is considered to be 20 weeks. Of course, we believe abortion should be illegal – period.
But until we arrive at the moment, we want to save as many children as we can.
The second bill was called the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, sponsored by Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE). It would have required healthcare practitioners to administer care to babies who survived an abortion.
BOTH bills failed to receive the necessary votes.
It should shock the senses of every human being that liberal senators in Washington voted to legalize infanticide.
It’s that simple and that horrific.
In a moving Black History event at the White House last Thursday night, Civil Rights legend Gertrude Jane Holiday Stone reflected on the barbarism of the act and its devastating impact on our future.
“I don’t believe in abortions,” she said. “You might be killing an Einstein. You might be killing a Nobel Laureate. And you might be killing somebody that’s going to find the cure for the coronavirus.”
She’s exactly right.
Abortion snuffs out the future for nearly one million Americans every year.
The quest to protect every life under law has been a long and tear-filled campaign. It’s a battle that rages on and one that has led us to expand our “Alive” event to 5 cities this coming Mother’s Day weekend.
On Saturday May 9th we’ll be simultaneously celebrating life in Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Miami and Southern California. The events will feature live music and inspiring speakers and best of all, a live ultrasound of a preborn baby.
