A few weeks ago I announced a project all of us here at Focus on the Family are very excited about: we’re helping spread the word about a beautiful and life-changing movie, “MULLY.”
The film tells the story of Charles Mully, who has rescued more than 12,000 children and teens who were living on the streets of his native Kenya.
Mully was moved to compassion by his own experience of being abandoned by his family at age 6 – and his desire to obey God’s prompting in his heart to help children society had discarded.
As you know, I was an orphan and spent time in foster care. Watching “MULLY” was incredibly moving for me because it illustrates God’s father-heart for orphans.
I’m not the only one who has been touched by this film. Those who have watched a screening of it share the same sentiment – one of being awed by God’s goodness and of being encouraged by watching what God can do when people are willing to obey Him and sacrifice for others.
Chris Tomlin is one of those people who have been inspired by “MULLY.” He shares his thoughts about the movie in the clip below. Stay after Chris’ message to watch the movie’s trailer.
I hope you’ll consider joining us at the movies for the three-day only run of “MULLY” on Tuesday, Oct. 3, Wednesday, Oct. 4, and Thursday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. local time in theaters nationwide. For every ticket that is pre-purchased online, $15 will be donated to orphans domestically and internationally.
