Dear Kitten – Do You Have a Mentor?

An older man prays over a younger man

I’m not sure what it is about cat videos but the Internet is full of clips about felines – cute ones, grumpy ones, you name it.

“Dear Kitten,” one of the latest to go viral, is actually a commercial for a particular brand of cat food, but the creators pack a lot of meaning into it.

Now even if you’re not a cat person, you have to admit that kittens are cute. But there’s something even more appealing about this video. In it, we hear an older cat passing on the wisdom he’s gained from others and accumulated over the years. That idea – that we ought to share our insights and experiences with a future generation – is one that should be applied in each of our lives.

So let me ask you: Who is your mentor? Who is giving you guidance when you need it? Just as important, who are you pouring yourself into?

Let me challenge you to make a difference in someone’s life by being a mentor to them.
