Are you stuck?
A lot of us are. We’ve got a friend … a spouse … an in-law … a coworker who is tough to be around. And we want to get unstuck.
But we don’t know how.
On our radio program today and tomorrow is Dr. Daniel Nehrbass, who will share more in-depth about the nine choices you can make to change the course of the complicated relationships in your life:
- Listen
- Emotional appeal
- Teaching
- Boundaries
- Compromise
- Sacrifice
- Leaving
- Repent of your role in the relationship
- Do nothing
Each of these nine have what Dr. Nehrbass calls a “negative cousin,” like sarcasm, ridicule, the silent treatment, venting, and others. They’re common tactics, but they’re not a positive option for relational change.
The goal isn’t simply to get your way. It’s to do what’s best for you and the other person. It’s to do what’s best for the relationship. I invite you to tune in on your local radio station, online, or on our free phone app and learn how to respond to relational situations that leave you feeling stuck.
God doesn’t want you to be stuck. He wants you to be liberated, and we’ll help you learn how to get there today and tomorrow on “Getting Unstuck in Your Relationships.”
Dr. Nehrbass is a counselor and the president of Nightlight Christian Adoptions. His book, “Untrapped: 9 Secrets to Getting Along,” can be found in our online store.
