Don’t Buy an Airline Ticket On . . .

In the spirit of helping with family finances, the Wall Street Journal is out today with some interesting news.

Did you know that the very worst time of the week to buy airline tickets is over the weekend? That’s because fares tend to be highest on Saturday and Sunday – just when you have time to sit down and book that trip to the grandparents!

When is the best time to buy?

Tuesday or Wednesday, since many “sales” are launched on Monday night.

According to travel consultant Bob Harrell, “Like bread, fares get sort of stale toward the end of the week.”
