Today, on our Focus on the Family Broadcast, you’re in for a special treat. We’re airing an episode of our award-winning children’s radio drama Adventures in Odyssey.
Not only are these dramas one of the best things we do here at Focus to communicate the gospel message, they’re a lot of fun, too!
This episode is titled “Hidden Gems.” The story follows young Olivia as Whit teaches her why reading the Bible is important. With the help of the Imagination Station, Olivia is placed into the action of three Bible stories: Simon in Acts 8, Balaam and the donkey, and King Josiah and the prophets of Baal.
Through those stories, Whit teaches Olivia that God’s word has the power to change our hearts. He tells her, “That’s why it’s so important to read God’s word every day. That simple act invites God to disciple us, encourage us, discipline us, and direct us. And reading about God’s actions in history helps me get to know Him better, too.”
For years, Adventures in Odyssey has played a key role in being a positive, faith-building entertainment option for kids, building a foundation of God’s truth that will stay with them for the rest of their lives!
During the pandemic, Focus has been offering families a free trial of our Adventures in Odyssey Club. We’re hearing from many of you that Odyssey has been a great source of comfort and stress relief during this time. Find out more about that free trial, which continues all through the month of June, on our website.
In the meantime, hear “Hidden Gems” on your local radio station, online, on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, or on our free phone app.
