If God is good, why does He allow evil to exist?
Have your children ever asked you that question?
Have you ever asked your children that question? How do you think they’d answer?
How about these questions?
- Where did the universe come from?
- Do science and religion contradict each other?
- Do all religions worship the same God?
- How do we know God hears and answers prayer?
Author Natasha Crain didn’t know how to answer these and other important questions when her children asked. That bothered her. She realized that her children were growing up in a much different world than she had, and she felt unable to equip them to handle it. So, she worked hard to find answers, just as she did when she had questions in other areas of life.
The result of that study is Natasha’s book Talking with Your Kids About God: 30 Conversations Every Christian Parent Must Have. She’s with us on our Focus on the Family Broadcast “How to Raise Strong Believers” to share how to help children have a relationship with God.
We’re discussing some of her 30 deep faith questions covering five categories:
- The existence of God
- Science and God
- The nature of God
- Believing in God
- The difference God makes
We also discuss how to engage your children in conversation no matter their age and expose them to important biblical questions in a way they’ll understand before they encounter them in the world without your influence.
