Before Bob Kraning died in April 2020, he and his wife Carol were married for over sixty years. When it comes to enjoying a happy relationship, you might say that they had a lifetime of experience.
Whenever I hear about a couple like that, I can’t help but wonder, “What’s their secret?”
Bob provides answers in a recorded message we’re airing on our Focus on the Family Broadcast called “Twenty-Five Years and Still in Love.” Bob’s and Carol’s “secrets” are actually timeless truths available to all of us. That’s why this program has been a blessing to countless marriages for the nearly 30 years we’ve been airing it.
At the time the message was recorded, Bob and Carol were reflecting on what they’d learned about marriage after 25 years together – things like a willingness to be honest, to talk about problems, and to ask for help when it’s needed. Their “secrets” must work. Not only did God give them another 25 years of marriage, but years more after that!
If you want to “go the distance” and celebrate 25 years of marriage – or even 50 and beyond – you’ll want to tune in for our program on your local radio station, online, on iTunes, via Podcast, or take us with you on our free phone app. It’ll help you get the most out of your marriage.
This broadcast highlights why Focus on the Family exists. Every month, our counseling team fields over 4,000 calls, of which about 1,500 are related to marriages in conflict. If you can, support our ministry and help us be a cup of cold water to these couples.
Consider participating in our “Friends of Focus on the Family” program by becoming a monthly partner. When you do, I’ll send you a CD copy of the broadcast as a way of saying thank you. To make your pledge, or for more information, visit our website or call 1-800-A-FAMILY (232-6459).
