After the national debut of “The Drop Box” we heard from many of you who were touched and influenced by the film. So for all of you who fell in love with Pastor Lee and the wonderful children he cares for, I want to share with you two ways you can help further promote the mission of the ministry.
1. Please vote and spread the word.
“The Drop Box” has been nominated in the Film/Television Impact category for K-LOVE’s annual fan awards. We’re hoping you’ll vote and take to social media to motivate others to vote for “The Drop Box,” as that will help raise awareness about the film.
Our documentary has been nominated along with other strong contenders: “Do You Believe?” (the sequel to “God’s Not Dead”); “A.D.”; and “Moms’ Night Out.”
Voting is already underway, and will run through May 31st. We encourage you to vote at http://www.klovefanawards.com/vote. (Please use a personal email account at the end of the voting form, as your vote isn’t counted until you confirm it via email.)
Voting won’t just help Pastor Lee’s children – for every 500,000 votes K-LOVE receives, the ministry will build a home through The Hands and Feet Project to care for up to eight orphaned or abandoned children in Haiti.
2. Please consider contributing to the Global Orphan Care Fund.
One way to directly support Pastor Lee’s ministry is to give a gift to the Global Orphan Care Fund, which was established by Focus on the Family and Kindred Image to benefit the children Pastor Lee serves. This fund also benefits Focus on the Family’s Wait No More program, which helps orphans in the U.S.
So far, thanks to your generous donations, we’ve surpassed our original $1 million goal. But because of the overwhelming need of orphaned children in South Korea and right here in the U.S., we have extended our goal to $1.7 million. Thank you again to all of you who have committed a gift to the fund.
We have seen how God is moving in those who have a heart for orphaned children. We know He is accomplishing a great thing to bless these kids in need – and it’s humbling to know that we are the vessels He has chosen to use for this good work.
Finally, I want to remind you that “The Drop Box” is now available to be shown in churches. DVD pre-sales begin May 15 with the release set for June 1.
Thank you for all the support you’ve given to “The Drop Box.” Pastor Lee and his team have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and encouragement they’ve received. We’re in this for the long haul, so I’ll never tire of thanking you, our faithful friends.
