Were you one of the many people who weren’t able to see “The Drop Box” movie last week because of bad weather? Were you shut out of a sold-out theater?
If so, I have good news: Focus on the Family is showing an encore presentation of “The Drop Box” on Monday, March 16! You can purchase your tickets today.
Last week, nearly a quarter million people watched “The Drop Box” across the U.S. and Canada. The response was enthusiastic. There have been thousands of social media posts and emails from people telling us how much they loved the movie and how their lives were touched.
God is moving through this story of a South Korean pastor who saves “unwanted” babies who might otherwise be abandoned. As audiences witness Pastor Lee’s love for these children in action, many of whom have physical and mental disabilities, they catch a glimpse of the love God has for us. It’s the type of love that compels people to act.
Already we’re hearing from people, like Colleen Johnston, who sent out a tweet saying, “@TheDropBoxFilm just continued to confirm that I feel that the Lord is leading me to adopt one day. #ThankYouJesus”
What a powerful testimony of how God is using this film!
For those who aren’t called to adopt, “The Drop Box” is providing a practical way to help orphans. A portion of the film’s proceeds are going to support Pastor Lee’s ministry by contributing to the Global Orphan Care Fund. Half of those proceeds will support Pastor Lee’s work in South Korea, with the other half going to Focus on the Family’s Wait No More program to encourage foster care adoption here in the U.S.
If you missed the movie the first time around, we hope you’ll consider watching it this coming Monday. We’re still ironing out the details and are updating “The Drop Box” website as more theaters sign up to show the encore presentation. If you don’t see your local theater, please visit www.thedropboxfilm.com again because it may still be added.
