If you were born before 1961, this announcement is for you.
Focus on the Family will be hosting a very special “Focus over Fifty” conference from March 10th thru the 13th here on our Colorado Springs campus. Titled “Inspired to Thrive” the gathering will feature Tim and Darcy Kimmel, Dr. Del Tackett, Rob Parsons and comedian Ken Davis. I’ll also be addressing the group – even though, for the record, I was born in 1962.
Although different generations share many similar attributes, those in their 50s and 60s enjoy several distinctives. In that age bracket you’re likely to experience more significant life transitions than in any other phase of life, from becoming an empty nester to a grandparent to taking on the care of an elderly parent.
People in their fifties and sixties are also more likely to ask themselves introspective and probing questions. Questions like, “What’s God’s plan for the next season of my life?” “Do I still have time to pursue my dreams?” “How can I make the best use of my gifts?”
If you can find the time to carve out of your schedule March 10-13th, I can guarantee that you’ll find helpful answers to many of those questions and more here in Colorado Springs. If you’re married, make a romantic adventure of it. Take the time to recharge and renew your batteries as a couple. It’ll be a wonderful time of Christian fellowship. If you’re single or find yourself in a time of transition, what better place to be to help gain new perspective?
