Has reality crushed your dreams yet?
It will, you know.
Not all of them, of course. But enough. Maybe you never had children, the career you hoped for, the marriage you dreamed of, or you never attained certain goals. We all have our lists.
Author Chrystal Evans Hurst understands that struggle. Like you and me, she’s also walked the road of discontentment. In college, she didn’t handle her new-found adult freedom very well and became a teenage mom. She felt hopelessly lost. In the aftermath, she wondered if even God could help her recover.
How do we come to terms with unfulfilled dreams and not allow our disappointments to keep us pinned down?
Chrystal is with us on our Focus on the Family Broadcast “Making Peace with Unfulfilled Dreams” to share her story and to offer practical insight and advice. She uses the acronym GAIN to describe how to get a clear picture of who God made you to be by examining your:
- Gifts
- Abilities
- Interests
- Nature
Chrystal also explains a 90-day challenge that will help you identify at least three things you can change about yourself to create possibilities for new dreams for your life. Chrystal says, “Don’t lose heart, because it’s never too late to rediscover your identity in Christ and to fulfill His dreams for your life.”
