I’m in New York right now on a whirlwind trip. In a matter of a few days, I’m meeting with representatives of the media, giving interviews on Focus’ new movie, “Irreplaceable,” (out May 6) and my newly released book, “The Good Dad.” (Watch for me on Fox News Channel’s “Huckabee” this Saturday and Sunday.)
I’m also here to interview two important thought leaders for the Focus on the Family daily broadcast: my conversation with author Dr. Bill Bennett on the topic “Is College Worth It?” should air this June.
The second person I’m interviewing for our daily broadcast is the influential senior pastor of New York City’s famed Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Dr. Tim Keller.
Keller has earned the respect of countless Christians around the world – including me – for his thoughtful writing and sermons on a variety of topics, including apologetics, marriage and earthly idols. He has a new book out now, “Walking with God through Pain and Suffering,” that will be the topic of our broadcast.
And before you think I’m all work, no play, I want to add a personal note. With Jean on a woman’s retreat, I brought my sons, Trent and Troy, with me on this trip. (Jean’s final words to me before leaving were, “Don’t lose the boys.”) All three of us are excited about our plans tonight to watch the New York Yankees play the Los Angeles Angels in the Bronx.
