Music has the power to transport you back in time, doesn’t it?
Listen to an old song, and all the emotions come flooding back … it’s almost like you’re in your childhood home again, or studying for college finals in your dorm, or falling in love with your spouse all over again.
Fast-forward to today. I hope most of us are enjoying the great things about summer – the barbecues, road trips, and visits to the beach or mountains.

All of the artists I highlighted above will also be at this year’s HeavenFest. The family-friendly event will take place on the Colorado Front Range on July 29 and 30 and will feature 50 Christian artists performing live across five stages.
Focus on the Family is a proud co-sponsor for this year’s HeavenFest, so we’ll be on-site. I hope those of you going to the event will drop by to see us! We’ll have encouragement and resources for people of all ages, including our huge Adventures in Odyssey Kids Zone featuring interactive games and crafts. Fans can also meet Adventures in Odyssey host Chris Anthony, take a picture with Whit, learn how to draw their favorite characters with artist Gary Locke, and even meet the behind the scenes crew.
We’ll also be hosting the Focus on the Family Interview Stage, where families will hear from popular Christian artists in a more intimate setting and learn how the Lord is working in their marriages and families.
In addition to what we’re offering, families attending HeavenFest will also be able to enjoy a skate park, splash zone, sports area, art installations, camping, the Vendor Village, car and bike shows and a prayer and worship experience!
All of this will take place against a sweeping Colorado landscape, making it an epic camping festival experience for families looking to create memories together.
I’m pretty sure that when all is said and done the music families will enjoy during HeavenFest will bring back many happy memories when they listen to the songs again in the decades to come! Learn more online.
