For years, Focus on the Family has been offering wonderful resources to help our friends with their marriage, parenting and faith journeys. I want to share some of the items we’re currently offering, or that will be available soon.
1. “Ready to Wed: 12 Ways to Start a Marriage You’ll Love” – Written by Focus marriage experts Dr. Greg and Erin Smalley for engaged couples, this book is full of helpful tips and wisdom to set soon-to-be newlyweds on a straight path toward a healthy marriage.
2. “That the World May Know: Israel’s Mission” – Available for preorder now before its Friday release, volume 13 of this acclaimed series joins historian Ray Vander Laan as he explores the assignment God gave Israel – and us: to bring “lost sheep” back into God’s Kingdom.
One more note: “An Evening with Ray Vander Laan” will be taking place in July. You can register for this free event by using the links below.
– July 21 at Friends Church Yorba Linda in Yorba Linda, CA
– July 23 at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church in San Antonio, TX
– July 29 at Christ Church of Oak Brook in Oak Brook, IL
3. Adventures in Odyssey #59 – Currently available via the Odyssey Adventure Club, the newest album of AIO, “Taking the Plunge,” will be ready for digital download in July. The compact disc will be available in August, but you can preorder it now.
4. “Kingdom Quest: Taking Faith and Character to the Next Level” – The highly anticipated curriculum for parents, teachers and mentors of children by Dr. Tony Evans will release on July 1. It will be available in three versions: for ages 7 to 10; ages 11-13; and 14 and up. In the “Kingdom Quest” resources, Dr. Evans purposes to instill kingdom virtues in children, highlighting wisdom, integrity, faith, resiliency, purity and service in a way they can understand.
Finally, there are free e-books available courtesy of another great ministry also located here in Colorado Springs, David C. Cook, via DCCebooks.com.
