Children are unique, but they also fall into some fairly predictable categories.
One child is a reliable, conscientious, perfectionistic, opinionated, list-maker who likes things done well. Another child is more rough and tumble, but loyal and hangs tough through thick and thin. Yet another child is outgoing, relational, charming, and can persuade others to listen to their opinions – a good negotiator.
On our broadcast today, Dr. Kevin Leman says you can almost predict according to birth order which child will fit those descriptions. He also says that your birth order can say a lot about how you parent.
God gifts each of us differently, and works through those gifts to guide us through life. Parenting each child according to their deepest identity is the concept outlined in Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (ESV).
From the first born to the last born, Dr. Leman will explain the importance of birth order on “How Birth Order Affects Your Parenting.” Join us on your local radio station, online, on iTunes, via Podcast, or take us with you on our free phone app.
