On our Focus on the Family Broadcast “My Search for a Father’s Love,” we’re sharing my conversation with Lynsi Snyder, the owner and president of the In-N-Out Burger chain of restaurants located in the western part of the United States.
Although her family’s wealth made life appear like a fairy tale to outsiders, Lynsi has had a difficult and, at times, heart breaking journey. Her father died when she was 17 years old, which led her into a downward spiral of drug and alcohol abuse and promiscuous relationships in search of love. Unresolved grief kept her from trusting God or discovering her identity in Him.
For a decade, Lynsi’s life was a rollercoaster. At her lowest point, when she felt more alone and broken than ever, she encountered the Lord in a powerful way that taught her God often does His greatest work in our worst moments.
I believe Lynsi’s story will draw you closer to God when it feels like He’s distant from your pain. Like Lynsi, you can know that God is always there. Nothing is too big for Him to forgive or too painful to heal. He can bring restoration to your life despite your brokenness.
Hear my conversation with Lynsi and her husband, Sean Ellingson, on your local radio station, online, on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, or on our free phone app. Her remarkable testimony of finally opening herself to God’s overwhelming love is a powerful story of restoration.
