When two people share the same vision, they can change the world.
Take Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak for example. Their vision for home computers revolutionized the tech industry and made Apple one of the most valuable companies in the world.
Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield did the same thing with ice cream. They turned Ben and Jerry’s into one of the most popular ice cream brands in the industry.
In the world of music, think of Lennon and McCartney, Mick and Keith, or Simon and Garfunkel. Individually, those guys were great. But together they accomplished more than either one could have on their own.
The best example of the power two people have when they come together in unity is marriage. Life is full of unexpected twists and turns. When times are tough, unity creates stability. A shared vision focuses a couple’s energy in the same direction, empowering them to persevere through hardship and emerge stronger and more deeply connected on the other side.
Our nation needs marriages like that. What is a nation, after all, but a collection of communities and neighborhoods? And what is a neighborhood but a collection of families? Stable, healthy marriages ripple outward and influence everything for the good.
And it all starts with two – two people who share the same vision for marriage and who work to achieve it.
