Brides around the country are scrambling to find new wedding dresses after Alfred Angelo, a bridal gown chain, filed for bankruptcy and closed its stores without warning – leaving many of its bridal gown and bridesmaid orders unfulfilled.
It’s a nightmare for women who, in some cases, paid for gowns they won’t receive.
But some Alfred Angelo brides in Oklahoma City found out their wedding day dreams will be saved by a big-hearted seamstress who contracted with the local store.
Although Rozetia “Rose” Ellis had just lost her job, she thought of the brides – and rescued the dresses from her store.
She took more than 80 dresses to her home, where she has been working 15-hour days to alter them for free.
