WATCH: FOTF’s Jim Daly on FOX News & CBN

4

Since returning from Washington, D.C., and my interview with Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse this past Monday, our broadcast studios, offices and meeting rooms here at Focus have been buzzing with activity.

As I announced on Monday’s radio program, Focus on the Family has launched the largest pro-life effort in our history. It’s our bold and determined response to the heartbreaking New York legislation that endorses later-term abortion and the Virginia governor’s shocking and unapologetic endorsement of infanticide.

The 12-week SEE LIFE CLEARLY campaign will culminate with a special event in Times Square on Saturday, May 4th, that we’re calling, ALIVE FROM NEW YORK.  We’re looking to fill Times Square with pro-life Americans, and it will feature live music, compelling and inspirational speakers, and best of all, live 4-D ultrasounds broadcast on a massive digital marquee in Times Square, powerfully showing the world that a baby inside the womb is fully human and should be given the chance to be born.

I had the opportunity to share our vision for the event on yesterday’s Faith Nation on CBN.  Here is a video of the appearance.

Later that evening, I was invited to join Senator Sasse on FOX News @ Night with Shannon Bream to continue the conversation about the horrific movement to expand abortion rights in America.

As I’ve been sharing with friends, in my 30 years at Focus on the Family, I have neither seen nor sensed this type of reaction or response to a series of family-related news events. Something is happening. There has been a collective moral outcry – even from people who have been otherwise apathetic to the issue of abortion.  It’s as if in a single voice the public has said, “Enough is enough!”

If you agree, I would encourage you to please do three things:

1) Sign “A Declaration for Life” and add your name to what we hope will be millions of others.

We plan to present this manifesto with signatures to the White House and Congress, demonstrating that pro-life voters are committed to push back against the culture of death and to protect the most vulnerable among us.

2) Travel to New York City on Saturday, May 4, and help us fill Times Square with pro-life Americans for the “Alive from New York” event.

It’s the perfect location. Times Square is known as “The Crossroads of the World,” and we’re at a crossroad as a nation regarding life.

Do we really want to be part of the Abortion Axis of Evil – the tiny handful of countries like China, North Korea and Vietnam – that allows abortion for any reason after 20 weeks? Of course not.

3) Help us save a baby’s life for $60 through Option Ultrasound. This initiative has helped save an estimated 425,000 babies in the past 15 years, and we’re aiming to save a million by 2025.

We’ll keep you informed as details surrounding the New York City event come together.  In the meantime, thank you for your ongoing support for life and the pre-born!

Dear Anonymous
What is Truth?
Are you claiming that the narrative that the pro-choice movement continues to use, that you mention in your post is the truth?
I quote " All civilized countries allow a woman with a late-pregnancy medical complications to abort any pregnancy that threatens her life or health"
Question: If this is the truth that you claim, which medical group of experts, Drs, have you read that lay claim to this truth.
To claim that something is really true don't we need solid evidence to support that claim?
1. Are you a medical Doctor?
2. Are you a obstetrician-gynecologist?

Dear Anonymous,

Actually only 7 countries in the world have legalized abortion after 24 weeks. See fact check article below: journalgazette.net/news/fact-check/20171009/is-us-one-of-7-countries-that-allow-elective-abortions-after-20-weeks-of-pregnancy

So you would rather fact check Anonymous' comment than respond to her point that FOTF's "pro life" policies endanger the lives of women? Classic...

Those who are taking your position are totally missing the point.  Life saving procedures will always be offered in the case of a life in danger.  That is not the agenda of this bill.  The agenda of this bill is a unapologetic stance on a woman's choice to do what she wants with the life inside of her, without regard to anyone's life or health.
