There is a staggering crisis among American men, and it demands immediate national attention. That is the focus of an important new report recently released by Florida Senator Marco Rubio.
The report, “The State of the Working (And Non-Working) Man,” explains that the number of American men out of work today is greater than it was in the wake of Great Depression. And what makes this crisis even worse, is that their idleness is largely voluntary.
“Beginning in 2017, pro-life supporters found a strong advocate in President Trump. As promised, his key appointments to both the United States Supreme Court, federal courts and other agencies helped bring to fruition the fall of Roe, a wicked and evil 1973 decision that contributed to the death of over 60 million innocent children.
“The reversal of Roe and the Dobbs decision made clear the United States Constitution does not confer a right to abortion, and that states are permitted to restrict it.
Friday’s release of footage from Tyre Nichols’s fatal traffic stop in Memphis earlier this month has justifiably sickened, saddened and horrified the nation. Images of Mr. Nichols being repeatedly kicked and beaten with batons is gruesome and unconscionable.
Five police officers have been fired and charged with second-degree murder. This week, two additional officers with a connection to the incident were taken off duty.
It’s difficult to watch the body cam footage, and painful to read about the details surrounding the incident.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) believes abortion liberates otherwise enslaved women.
Here’s what she said earlier today:
“Forcing poor and working-class people to give birth against their will, against their consent, against their ability to provide for themselves or a child, is a profound economic issue and it’s certainly a way to keep a workforce basically conscripted to large-scale employers and to employers to work more against their will, to take second and third jobs against their desire and their own autonomy.”
Reducing the beauty and joy of children to mere economics is distasteful in and of itself, but such rationale defies common sense logic and reasoning.
Americans have been watching and listening with interest to the ongoing confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. A federal appeals court judge and the first black woman to be nominated to the High Court, President Biden’s pick to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer possesses a highly decorated résumé.
But an academically and professionally accomplished biography doesn’t necessarily equate to suitability for the Supreme Court of the United States.
During the past three days of spirited questioning from members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Judge Jackson has confirmed suspicions that she subscribes to an expansive and progressive view of the Constitution.
Today’s decision blocking the Biden administration’s sweeping mandate is a victory for freedom and a resounding defeat of egregious and intrusive government overreach. No administration or federal agency should be permitted to force employers and employees to violate their deeply held convictions or burden them with onerous and intrusive unconstitutional edicts. We applaud the Supreme Court’s principled ruling and all indications suggest this stay will be permanent. As we approach the two-year anniversary of the COVID-19 scourge, we pray for an end to this awful global pandemic and ask God to have mercy on a world weary and eager for a return to normalcy.

Sadly, both old and young soldiers die every day. Each death diminishes us all, with each man or woman taking with them a reservoir of history and unique experience. We stand on their shoulders, enjoying relative peace and freedom today because so many gave their lives in times of war – and worked to keep the peace after the fighting stopped.
All eyes will be on the Supreme Court today as the nine justices hear arguments in the highly anticipated six-week “heartbeat bill” case, Whole Women’s Health v. Jackson and United States v. Texas.
Given the magnitude of the moment and the fact that the state of Texas has been in the middle of not only this case but other pressing national issues, we decided to invite the Lone Star state governor, Greg Abbott, onto the program today.
Governor Abbott has been married to his wife, Cecilia, for 40 years and the chief executive of Texas since 2014.

In a galling twist of irony, liberal members of the House of Representatives passed last week (on party lines) the “Women’s Health Protection Act” – a tragic piece of legislation designed to guarantee unfettered access to abortion.
In reality, the legislation doesn’t protect anyone – it actually endangers women and ends the lives of innocent children, along with cheapening the sacredness and value of life overall.
Using soft words to describe dark deeds has become the calling card of abortion advocates, who routinely refer to abortion as “healthcare.” It’s simply not true, and saying so however many times they do won’t make truth of a lie.
The apostle Paul had little time for deceivers, admonishing fellow believers in Ephesus to “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them” (5:11).
