You probably know Focus on the Family’s motto is “Helping families thrive.”
What you may not know is that our Colorado Springs campus is a significant tourist destination – we’ve had more than 200,000 visitors come through our doors annually for many years running. They come to learn more about who we are and what we do and to share with us how our radio programs and resources have helped them. There is plenty for them to enjoy as they walk through our facility, but one thing is missing.
You.
That’s why we’d like to ask you to go through your own living history of family photos and send your favorites to us. We want to decorate the walls of our campus with pictures of families like yours celebrating life together. Thanksgiving, Christmas and birthday shots, of course. And summer vacations. Special school events and family celebrations, too. But also everyday moments – those for-no-special-occasion snapshots that capture what a thriving family looks like.
Getting your pictures to us is easy – just email them in jpg or bitmap form to [email protected]. At this time, we’d prefer to receive them in these electronic formats (and, please, no individual photos larger than 1 MB and no emails with multiple photos larger than 15 MB). If you have older prints you’d like to send you may want to consider scanning them into your computer and then emailing them along.
It’s our hope that in displaying these photos, not only our visitors but our staff will experience in evocative ways what Focus on the Family has dedicated itself to for more than 33 years.
Thanks for your help! You’ll also want to check back on my daily blog. In the coming weeks and months I’ll be featuring some of your photos as space permits.
